When casino host Randy Kennedy is found crouched over the dead wife of one of Las Vegas's high-rollers, he flees the scene, pursued by not only the cops but the dead woman's mobster husband. Randy seeks sanctuary at the home of Angela Grisham, who he knows he can trust, even if she has had the poor taste to spurn his romantic advances. When a second homicide takes the life of a wealthy casino mogul, Randy, again at the wrong place and time, becomes the main suspect. Randy and a reluctant Angela soon find themselves on the run from both the cops and the mob. Together, they discover a missing Van Gogh painting is at the center of the killings, but finding it and the killer and tying both to the murders becomes an increasingly dangerous endeavor. As they delve into the black market world of forged and stolen paintings, they must put their growing love and their very lives on the line.
