So this is what I believe: when we were unborn souls, some of us were recruited A certain number of men and women were needed at this time in history to make a point to the world about the inevitability of loving one another in myriad ways. The mission and the challenge appealed to me. The Love that Shouted for Joy! is a series of vignettes, scattered in space and time, about the complications that arise when two people decide to marry. The fact that the partners are of the same sex is only one piece of the intricate landscape that spans over 30 years and tells a story culminating in a backyard ceremony during the historic summer of 2004.
