A New Kind of Church and Other Writings: Taking a Fresh Look and a New Approach to a Timeless Tradition
J. Givens
This book may not be what you expect. It is not a discourse on church growth or program based initiatives. It is not a five-point outline on how to effectively "evangelize" your neighbors. It is not so much a theological approach as it is a philosophical approach to "ministry"-to doing church in the post-modern, 21st century. It is about paradigms. Defining them and re-defining them. Are you prepared to enter an environment where people are loved unconditionally and everyone's voice is heard and respected? Are you ready for a world of spirituality without the dogma of organized religion? Are you ready for a church for those who don't like church? If you're ready to experience church in a new and fresh way, then this book is for you. This is a story of passion. A story of conviction. This is my story-a story of a new kind of church.
