Love Songs to Jehovah: He Hears the Heart Cry Jessica Maclennan

'Where does it come from-love in all its forms? Where does it get its strength and compassion from, its healing powers, and powers to bring understanding to all mankind from one person to another, from one end of the earth to the other? Where else but from the great God Jehovah! We cannot see it, but we are aware of it-the thing that makes us human, individual souls, capable of wonderful creativeness in so many different forms. Through the eyes of love, everything is more beautiful, more intense and more alive. We feel more at one with nature, with mankind, with the universe-and with God.' The poems in this volume celebrate the creative power of God's love-but they also show how His love can rescue us from deep despair and turn our ashes into new life and joy, as it did for the author through the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
