"When a Goy Loves a Girl" tells the story of Jonathan Reynolds, a middle-class, Irish Catholic from Jericho, Long Island (also known as the Jewish version of "The O. C."), who surprisingly finds himself through the always enlightening adventures of college. More importantly, Jonathan finds Rachel, a young, innocent, wealthy, Orthodox Jewish girl, whom he falls in love with at the spin of a dradle. True love should know no restrictions, but religion says otherwise, as does a Jewish father. Mensch or no mensch, getting past a religious history over three thousand years old is harder than convincing Tom Cruise he's straight, Scientology is as real as Harry Potter, and "Vanilla Sky" isn't two and a half hours of sheer torture. Nevertheless, Jonathan gives up his heart in hopes of defying the odds and finding the chuppah.
