Animal Friends, Tail Wagging and Throat Purring Stories of Shelter and Rescue Pets Christina Jirak O'donnell

Every animal has a story to tell! Animal Friends is a unique collection of unforgettable stories of shelter and rescue animals who made a positive impact on people's lives. Those who have loved them best tell their stories. Rocky, who was rescued by a kind soul. He returned the favor by helping her cope with a lifelong illness; Spike, the cat who picked a husband for her mistress; Perry, a small dog who found himself injured and alone on a busy highway, and after his rescue, made many nursing home residents smile; Pepper, the pot-bellied pig who flew from Pennsylvania to Florida, and inspired the founding of a pig rescue group; T. W., a stray dog who now wears a badge; Gunther, a dog who had been used to train a fighting dog. Because of Gunther's case, laws were changed to prosecute people for dog fighting. All author and writer proceeds benefit shelter animals!
