When young, no nonsense Karena Murphy leaves her Ohio hometown and moves to Atlanta, the last thing she wanted to do was fall in love. Once Reggie Compton was finally released from prison, all he wanted to do was get back to his family and focus on getting his life together, not get tied down in another relationship. But after these two meet one night and realize how much they actually have in common, they become insperable. Everything was going great; both Karena and Reggie were proving that fresh starts really could work wonders. But not everyone was happy for the young couple. Kima Brown, one of Reggie's co-workers, feels she's a much better catch for him. Working together with a mystery woman called Chi Chi, they plot out a host of schemes that will not only win Reggie for Kima, but will also inflict some painful consequences if the whole thing backfires! However, Kima should be careful herself; Chi Chi has her own agenda and could care less about Kima's love life. Chi Chi wants Karena all to herself, and you'll never guess the reason why!
