The maturing years are given to us as a spiritual "crown of glory." It is in these years that the Holy Spirit guides us to clear our spiritual vision and promote a more expansive view of God's eternal truth, beauty and goodness. Although some may believe maturing adult ministry is a given; thinking that spiritual growth in the later years somehow happens effortlessly, Dr. Johnson believes we have yet to fully appreciate the mammoth growth potential of the "golden years." We have yet to firmly and frontally address this important ministerial and evangelizing time with intentionality.
