The Highgate Dead
Gordon Ian Barrick
A spate of bizarre murders. A brutal death. A photogenic ghost. The 1990's have been a boom time for war photographer Mikey Dayville. Exposing the savagery of the Middle East and Balkan conflicts have made him well known and well off. But the senseless death of journalist and close friend, Geoff Freeman, have made Mikey retreat from the world's warzones to the tranquil surroundings of Highgate, North London. Only there is no peace to be found in this green and pleasant land. A spate of odd and unexplained murders have been terrorizing London and now a savage death on neighbouring Hampstead Heath has sparked something strange. Now the photographs Mikey takes randomly contain the image of a Victorian preacher. Either Mikey is loosing his mind, or something very sinister is happening in Highgate.
