Grandma Luz Celebrates at the White House Lauren Wallace-Mendoza

"Grandma Luz Celebrates at the White House" is the first of a series of books covering real life family stories of immigration, trials, dreams, and hopes as told through the assimilation of the Mendoza family into America. This book begins with the origin of the Mendoza family through their grandmother Luz. Micah Mendoza, her grandson, tells the story of his grandmother's rise to fame through food and friendship. With a little bit of luck and whole lot of hard work, anything is possible. And in the end, this new generation of dreamers might actually begin to believe that they too can rise above their pasts and find a better way towards their future.
