It was 1989 when Laurie met Aaron during the winter months following her high school graduation. She was 19-years-old when she met Aaron, and they quickly developed an undeniable love for each other. Sadly, their relationship came to an eventual end after Aaron went away to college, but the love Laurie had for him remained a part of her existence for the next 23 years. Laurie was often haunted by "what if's," and the memories she locked away in her heart. She finally succumbed to the fact that she and Aaron would never be a couple again, and she pushed herself to pursue a life without him. Throughout the next several years, Laurie endured more heartbreak and learned lessons that couldn't be taught in any school. Eventually, she found love again, but that love ended up leading her down a dark road of violence and fear. Laurie felt as if she was destined to endure heartbreak, and would end up living a life that felt empty and insignificant; but, her outlook on life changed the day she met Marc. Marc was a man who saw Laurie for the beautiful soul she is, and ultimately showed her that true love does exist, and that with love, all things are possible. Finally, the ghosts and memories that haunted Laurie for so long were finally put to rest.
