The Hour of Trial presents the Parallel-Age reading of the book of Revelation. This commentary functions upon two foundational premises: the book of Revelation describes the entire Gospel Age from beginning to end, and this Gospel Age period is depicted in seven interconnected, parallel visions. This reading derives its method from an obscure set of instructions embedded within the seven letters section; this template revealed within the structure of chapters 1-4 then guides the reader through chapters 6-22. What is depicted in these seven visions is the ongoing Gospel Age narrative told in four stages: testing, service, death, and resurrection-the same four stages foreshadowed by Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Through careful scrutiny of the literary structures employed in Revelation, The Hour of Trial reveals the final stage of the Gospel Age, an era wherein the whole world will be tested-and through which God has promised to watch over His people.
