The Road Home: a Poetic Autobiography Linda Dysart Moore

This collection of poetry describes events in the author's life while growing up as a young African-American girl in the South. During the days of sit-ins, freedom marches, and Jim Crow laws, these poems express the joys, frustrations, and anger of being an outcast in ones homeland. In an effort to come to terms with the past, the author journeys back home through poetic expression and experiences cultural awakening and self-discovery.
