The Adventures of Nico and Gianni: London 1712
J. J. Sagmiller
Follow the adventures of two penniless Italian sopranos newly arrived in eighteenth century London as they stumble in their attempts to find success and love. Look behind the glittering opera curtain and the smoking candles lighting the stage to discover a secret, lively world of gay men and women forced to hide their feelings, dreams and true identities from the censuring eyes of London society. Join the determined Nico, his cross-dressing friend Gianni and their friends as they battle the greed of the odious Mr. Filch and the oppression of the Society for the Reformation of Manners.
