A new parakeet arrives into the family household and the other bird, named Rainbow, wants nothing to do with it. Everywhere Rainbow hides the new bird seems to find him. In the end, Rainbow realizes the foolishness of running and they soon become friends, enjoying each others company on top of a big wooden perch. Throughout the story, the themes of getting along, sharing, and making new friends come across loud and clear. A goofy comic-book-styled children's story, starring two crazy parakeets. While these stories are fairly straightforward with touches of childlike humor throughout, it's the bright and colorful artwork that will attract youngsters' attention. The cartoon-style drawings set against soft-focus, almost impressionistic backgrounds keep Rainbow and his new bird friend at center stage, and their expressions at the end of each story are priceless.
