Strange but true stories of paranormal and ghostly happenings experienced by an R. N. (the author) and her co-workers during the graveyard shift at Broughton Hospital, a 100-plus year old psychiatric facility for mentally ill patients in Western North Carolina. Formerly called the Western North Carolina Insane Asylum, the facility definitely has many unexplained happenings. Margaret tells the stories she collected from her peers as well as things she experienced while working there during her 16 1/2 years. The hospital itself, an old Kirkbride design, is a valuable historical artifact, and is still in use today.
