Retreat-in-a-bag Series (Book 1): Steadfast and Immovable Calvary Chapel of Dallas / Plano Women's Ministry

Have you ever wished that there was a resource available to help with the creative end of retreat and event planning? Book 1 of the Retreat-in-a-Bag Series provides a model for a women's retreat based on the theme, "Steadfast and Immovable" from I Corinthians 15:58. Inside you will find reproducible theme-related artwork, skits and a Bible study. Also included are teaching, decorating, and remembrance ideas to enhance your themed event. Using the creative talents within your women's ministry, this resource can serve as a catalyst to create a retreat that is both meaningful and uniquely yours. One two-act skit (approx. 45 min. total) and one mini-skit (5-10 minutes) are included. This theme, "Steadfast and Immovable" uses the visual illustration of a lighthouse. A lighthouse is built on a rock, and it exists for the sole purpose of being a light, shining in the dark coastal areas, providing guidance and warnings for ships in dangerous seas. Similarly, our Christian life is built on the Rock, the solid foundation of our faith in Jesus Christ, and our purpose, like that of a lighthouse, is to be a light in a dark world.
