This alphabet book is written for a wide range of ages. The very young child can just enjoy the pictures and learn what they are. I found that my children could learn the harder words just as easy as the easier words and they had a much better memory than I ever did. As a child gets a bit older the letter sounds can be stressed more, explaining that a letter can have more than one sound. As they get a bit older and they have enough patience to listen to the stories having the short story read to them on a page they choose is the next step. As a mother of four, now all grown, I found that the more you expose a child to the more they will learn. This book is written in such a way that it is best used with an adult and child together. I hope that it will bring enjoyment to many.
