Messages Volume 1 is a collection of what I refer to as Sacred Poems. They are poems dedicated to the memory of loved ones, verses communicating a connection with God, feelings captured from sacred places or events, or poetry dedicated to past, present or future events of importance to all people. Almost all of the poems are written in the quatrain format used by Nostradamus. The book has 150 poems that were written between 1982 and 1999. The poems aren't in any particular order and there are no particular groupings. You can read it front to back, or just pick a spot somewhere in the middle. I will let you, the readers of this book, decide for yourself what these poems are all about. Some are very straight forward where as others are more cryptic. For the literary critics among you, I don't profess to be an expert in poetry. There are also frequent grammatical inconsistencies and words you don't find in normal English. It definitely presents some challenges for spell checking. Try not to get too hung up on some of the words, which might seem strange. It's more about what you think about when you read the poems rather than the words themselves. All of these were written one time only with no corrections. Some were written in the middle of the night, some were written during business meetings and others were actually written while I was driving. Some were written for people I know, others were written for people I have never met. They may be for you. I suspect that many of the things I wrote applied to people and events other than what was the original reason for the writing. I hope that they may be as timely or timeless for all who read them.
