A Big Brother in Heaven
Heather Muro
This is the story of how a young boy begins missing his older brother who has passed away. He, along with his parents, go through the stages of grief and acceptance. It is also about hope; hope that we will all get to see our loved ones again after they have passed on. Bay Cunningham, an elementary school teacher who lost her first-born son, wrote A Big Brother in Heaven in hopes of helping her second son and other families who have lost loved ones. It was illustrated by some of her elementary-school students who graciously lent their time, talents and interpretations, to help to make this book what it is.
