Beyond Beyond is a continuation of the humorous lifetime story of surgeon Mark Telfair and his sexy nurse-wife, Anne. Their earlier "training years" together at Atlanta's Grady Memorial Hospital, as well as their subsequent "private practice" years in the small town of "Statesville," Georgia, are chronicled in two politically incorrect earlier books: Going to the Gradies followed by Beyond the Gradies. Beyond Beyond begins in the early 1990s as the professional couple enter their retirement years on the rural coast of Georgia in McIntosh County. Initially their retirement seemed quite happy, humorous, and very laid-back. Together they enjoyed their hobbies of photography, boating, crabbing, fishing, and shrimping. Somewhat by accident, events surrounding them become a nightmare. A Mexican drug cartel's trafficking almost within sight of their humble retirement home finds the couple entangled in solving a drug-smuggling mystery ... one that leaves their lives forever changed.
