After their parents leave for a trip to Paris, Natalie and her brother Roo go to stay with their Grammy Flo in the Flamingo Farms retirement community in Miami. The children get to meet Grammy's interesting friends and neighbors: Ducky, Auntie, Roz and Mr. Sam. The children also meet Grammy's special friend Gary Geiser.
