An Orphan Remembers
Ted Karol
A touching, often humorous story about love and hate, and how quickly attitudes can change. Karol spins his tale aboard a cruise ship overflowing with colorful, interesting characters who reveal their psychological hang-ups while enjoying their sexual escapades. While working as a purser aboard a cruise ship, Sidney Fox, raised in a New York City Jewish orphanage, flashes back to his life experiences and lessons learned at an early age. Strange things are going on aboard the ship and we can all relate to the vivid characters he encounters as he struggles to find meaning to the craziness of mankind. His story is both entertaining and thought provoking, with a few lessons of life thrown in. The non-stop dialogue keeps the story moving, with a style all its own. An Orphan Remembers is a sensitive trip to the not-so-distant past, where beliefs are first developed. It's good to learn from the past, and better yet to reshape future attitudes. There's a bit of Sidney in us all.
