The Wings of Freedom Run Wild is about Cada and Judd Ponder and the love, trials, and sorrow of the people influenced by them, in their journey through life. Cada's only thought was to become a teacher until Judd Ponder caught a glimpse of her and became captivated and could not let go. He was doomed to live spellbound by his love for her. For them, fortunes of life changed as providence had a way of stealing their dreams and changing old dreams into a new life. Cada and Judds only purpose was to bring love and harmony to all they met. The setting is the 1800's in a little town in Georgia. Although it includes the Civil War period it is not about the war but about what the folks were doing back home. The threads of these families are many and some are tattered and worn but mash together to make an unforgetable family history. Life seemed simple until Cada's family scattered to the wind: Johnny, her brother ventured west leaving behind a girl who waited forever; her sister, Maggie, put a "glammer" on a Scotish man McTavish of Dumston Castle in Scotland. A Cajun girl Du'Nai, who was "took" and made a slave, became an unforgetable personlity. A Black man Tunis G. Campbell, who craved politics and religion entered their life and became the first Black Senator of Geogia. Who can forget the wonderful Ma Marge, "the keeper of the fold." It is a marvelous, romantic, historical fiction that you will treasure and never forget.
