I Love My Baby Berimbau: an Introduction to the Berimbau in Capoeira
Dr. Daphnie Bruno
The Afro-Brazillian martial arts and game called Capoeira is played in nearly every country in the world. Many who have played the game have described it as alluring, powerful, and even spiritual. This book describes a little girls' love for the Berimbau, a very special instrument played in Capoeira. As she describes her love for this instrument, she uncovers that listening to the Berimbau awakens her sense of imagination. The sounds of the Berimbau takes her to a special place where she always wants to be.
