KATHLEEN MOLLOY is a forty year old divorced mother of a nineteen year old son. She lives in Toronto and has carved out a place for herself in the business world through years of hard work, inner strength and a little 'luck'. She is the archetypical Irish Catholic woman with a background of religious repression and sexual ignorance. RO CASSIDY is the opposite of everything she thought she knew about men. He has two qualities she likes from their first meeting; he has a deep voice with n easy way of speaking, which immediately puts her at ease, and laugh lines which get a lot of use. But her wonderful summer is overshadowed by suspicion when she realizes that Cassidy's frequent absences coincide with the abduction/murders of three little girls. Her suspicion is reinforced by a police artist sketch of a suspect with an undeniable resemblence to the man in her life. The supporting cast includes her son DAVID, an ambitious young man who has a crush on her best friend COLETTE, a beautiful, talented French/Canadian actress on the brink of stardom. But Colette and David have a secret of their own. Their interwoven stories play out in one short summer.
