These are careful times. Potential offense has become tantamount to accuracy in all forms of communication; while honesty has become a vulgarity reserved for the daft! In this era of great subtlety, it is my intention to relate a story of grave historical import. Realizing the insignificance of my own life; I will attempt to tell the story of a greater man. A man created in the image and likeness of God; who, as a mere copy, aspired to be the original. This particular man recognized his decline; and turned it to his advantage. He freely chose a potential future, rather than a predestined one. History remembers him as the surveyor of Eden; but I remember him as: Constantine Opal..... It was in the autumn of his 97th year; having outlived his life expectation, without outliving the expectations of his life, that he began his quest. Ostensibly, he sought to cement the Bible's foundation by finding the precise geographic location of the Garden of Eden; his true purpose, however, was not so noble.
