"Ghostal Regions" visits a world that is the mirror image of our own, seen through the distortions of a fun house mirror. All the situations and characters resemble our world, but with some tricky curve balls thrown in. In "Follow Your Dream", mental hospital escapee Nino de Jesus Benitez dreams of being reunited with the purple forklift machine of his dreams. In "Ghostal Regions", hero Havelock Jones takes a little nocturnal subway ride down a line where the stations are all named for ghastly atrocities and the platforms are populated by dead and mutilated victims, until he finally ends up at the terminus, which lands him in the Algerian War. In "The Third Eye of The Needle", Texas girl Eponine LaHarpe is born with a third eye because of the industrial pollution, which does not impede her from becoming a fashion model, the symbol of a modern French Revolution and a Bombay movie star. "Ghostal Regions" is for readers who like their fiction kinky and disturbing.
