The Big Story of the Little Fan Linda S. Brilhart

Imagine living in a deep, dark, dank basement with dirt and dust and spiders and old hanging wires rusted and forgotten. The dirt so hard and so mean that it long ago became the permanent color of everything. Imagine water seeping through cold stone walls. Pooling in front of a cobwebby, never-opened door. Seeping, spreading, moving toward you all the time. Then imagine that you?re a little fan and that it?s your job to keep the water back?to blow it back. Hour after hour. Day after day. Well, that?s life for Little Fan, the hero in The Big Story of the Little Fan. He doesn?t know why it?s his fate and he sure doesn?t like it. To make matters worse, the four older, bigger fans that he works with have accepted their lot and don?t understand him. And their human employers?well, they act as if the fans were just machines! Does the little guy have a chance? Can he possibly escape this endless loop of miserable drudgery? Is there even a sliver of hope? Join in the adventures of a spunky, determined little fan. The sky is the only limit!
