A high value terrorist target has been captured and sent secretly to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba where he will stay until his trial. APTA, The Agency for the Prevention of Terrorism in America, is called in to make sense of several confusing pieces of information; the kidnapping of the President's son; Iran's initiation of the blocking of the Strait of Hormuz and the launch of a Soviet Sub from its moth balled fleet in the Kara Sea. Special Agent James Link and his team of Ted Mels, Stan Harding and wheel chair bound weapons guru Stuart Bays, search for clues eventually taking them to Iraq where they discover a plot to assassinate the President of the United States.
