Hey, Don't You Remember? Wwii Memories of Lancaster and Martin Marauder Operations
Mr Alan H Alcock
From rookie airman to flying officer, with seventy-nine bombing operations in his log book, the author recalls his night-time RAF adventures, flying in Lancaster bombers over Germany, and day-light action in B-26 Martin Marauders, supporting the 8th Army with SAAF in Italy. The reader will be treated to a heady mix of enemy fighters, flak and searchlights, together with the antics of an aircrew, trying to live a normal life when not airborne. The author's many colleagues, who died fighting for their King and Country, get special mention.
