July 3, 1976, Twenty-One year old Samantha Beleaux narrowly escapes being raped by undercover officer, Jerry Williams. In the years following, a series of gruesome murders plagues the rural Southern Michigan community. After a twenty year absence, Samantha returns home and realizes the same man who assaulted her may be the serial killer. Together with local newspaper reporter, Tom Blair, Samantha sets out to prove that the man, who is now running for police commissioner, is a sociopathic killer, without becoming his next victim. Set in Southern Michigan, the first chapter is based on a personal experience. The rest is entirely the author's imagination.
