Thirty-two-year old New Orleans native Shantelle Williams mistresses as a means of making ends meet and seems to have it all: an upscale apartment, two cars, a good job in the business district, and the designer labels. But more than anything else, she wants to break this vicious familial cycle of selling herself. In a domino effect, Shantelle begins to lose it all and nearly loses her mind until she meets Glynnis, an old soul whose life challenges Shantelle to question her own. Who is she? What is her purpose? Everyone seems to know theirs but her. She begins to realize that the life that she is living is not hers and must make a critical choice of either stepping onto new grounds or resorting back to what she knows best. Her decision grows even more complicated with the revelation of a familiar stranger from her past causing everything that she thinks she knows to be questioned in ways that only she can answer.
