In this first person account of his diagnosis and misdiagnosis he narrates the six weeks of hospital treatment, life threatening pulmonary embolism complications, and the months that follow. The story chronicles the tireless efforts of nurses who sometimes have to care for misdiagnosed patients, the psychological fears and curiosity patients have about their illness, the experience of brain surgery, and the intrigue of the people around a loved one who is going through this process.
