Publisher Marketing: History tells the story based on facts-data conscientiously collected and painstakingly recorded that are meant to be revisited time and again. The purpose: to equip the new generation with wisdom from the past. Discernment is one; a valuable instrumentation of moving forward, without the errors of our ancestors. This book is a by-product of that collected information. The act of going over records brought forth discernment. Barefoot and neophyte museologist Resurreccion Dimaculangan presents the multifaceted story of her home. A one-object exhibit by itself. A structure of unique architectural design that bespeaks and exudes the qualities found in folk art well done. A true Americana, the size of a real, livable structure. The historical contexts that made this site important tell of groundbreaking status quo-shattering truth ignored by design. That is, if one cared enough to approach the story based on factual, legally accepted evidentiary proofs that coincide with property ownership. These are data found in deeds, used not only here in the United States but are the prescribed resources for that purpose around the globe. An interactive story format where readers can fact-check, think, and analyze. The truth hurt. Yes. Not for this one. The denial of that distortion hurt. A travesty of history. An affront to humanity. A blatant disregard for real people that lived and died, as recorded in the pages of these deeds. We owe the dead the truth. This is the $65,000 question of "How do we move forward without losing their true legacy?" 1. Tell the story with accuracy, integrity, open honesty, and transparency. The core of lifestyles that embody the American spirit, the human spirit, in this spirit house. 2. Act on that positive spirit toward an overarching purpose that entwines elegance and utility with long-term self-sustainability. This book is stage one in an attempt to make it right.
