Publisher Marketing: Penny Banfield is struggling in a male dominated environment to establish her career while cast in the shadows of a hierarchal environment. As Penny recovers from a broken relationship, supported by friends, Katherine Henderson and colleague and roommate Nigel Wilkinson she cautiously becomes romantically involved with Gavin Preston who seems and may be, almost too good to be true. As a result of the shady dealings of Jim Bateman and the local football club, a team of lawyers is called upon to execute a rare legal remedy involving a search for evidence and raid upon multiple properties. However, due to a last minute disaster, Penny is thrust into the limelight and takes control of the team well aware that one slip-up could cost her, her reputation and even her career. Filled with British humour, BILLABLE HOURS is a tale of loyalty, mixed emotions but ultimate triumph and will likely resonate with any female who has been supressed or overlooked in her working environment.
