It attempts to give answers to some of the following questions, in the light of psychology rather than philosophy. What is happening to the Catholic Church? Why are there so few priests? Why has there been clerical sexual abuse? Why have there been cover-ups? Why has the Church's traditional teaching on sexuality been so negative? Why does the church insist on celibacy for priests? What on earth is going on? What is sin? Do we have free will? These, and other questions are dealt with from the view point of psychology, rather than rational philosophy. This book is written in a simple straightforward style, without jargon of any kind. It is very readable. It is aimed at the average reader who is not academic but concerned about current problems in the Church.
