This was originally a Lenten lecture that I delivered at St. Francis Catholic Church, Idimu, Lagos. The idea to develop it into a book was mooted based on the warm reception that the lecture received. Man is, no doubt, deficient in some faculties, physically and spiritually; some he can make up and some he cannot really make up no matter how hard he tries. However, right from creation man born Adamite has sadly chosen to be very Ádamic, acquiring Adam's negative tendency of making excuses and shifting blames. Man blames others and even God for his misfortunes instead of identifying and owning up to his failings and frailties. He plays the victim as a result and as a way out he goes into the orgy of self-deception by playing the ostrich or the foolish monkey. This book clearly identifies that man has many self-inflicted weaknesses and the solution to these weaknesses is man. These weaknesses are well-discussed such that the reader can engage in self-examination and possible self-purgation as he reads on. The messages in the book will not only help your spiritual revival and growth, but also they are meant to assist you in your workaday and general life schedules.
