Following the Chernobyl Disaster, Ukrainian nuclear physicist Viktor Tomischenko commits his life to building a safe nuclear fusion reactor for the world to share. Years later, having built the reactor with the help of the Russian government, he realizes an ulterior potential use for his machine. It is a much darker, more controversial usage than for what it was originally intended. Is the world ready for the ethical dilemma this machine will create? Who will make the decisions on how it will be used? Will each individual have the right to decide for themselves what many consider to be the ultimate ethical question? Ready or not there is no place to hide as Viktor's Machine challenges humanity with very serious questions concerning the right to die and who gets to decide.
