ONCE MORE AROUND THE SUN is the sixth book of poems written by Ruth Fredericks Guillard. Each book has a slightly different "feel" to it; in this collection, there is a mellowness that comes of being comfortable with later years of life spent with her husband in their log home on a cove of the Damariscotta River in coastal Maine. The silence the author finds there is mirrored by the inner silence the reader feels in many of her poems.
