Margarite's Dreamcatcher - The Beginning is about a Shape Shifter who selects a twelve year old multicultural girl in Silver City, New Mexico to be the receiver of His story. Margarite receives dreams at night through her Dreamcatcher, a gift from her medicine man uncle Nathaniel. She also receives mysterious scrolls every morning that are written in Hebrew, which Nathaniel helps her translate to English. Margarite learns how to make friends as a result of sharing the story with other characters in the book. She slowly comes out of her shell. There are both beautiful and sinister elements to this children's fantasy. This is the first book in a series about the Shape Shifter and His story.
