Reed Taylor is like no other kid his age. He has special powers. He has the ability to read the minds of the elderly (specifically anyone over the age of fifty-eight and three quarters). He can alter people's hairstyles with a momentary stare, and he has the unique gift of making the blind look foolish - an ability he hates having and hasn't used since he was a small child. Reed has only one notable flaw: his eczema. When he and his rock group take to the skies in their magical hot-air balloon, they make the assertive decision to investigate their evil teacher, Mrs Bunions. Reed senses something fishy going on, but needs proof. She's always on at him about his skin and so too is Andy Baxter - the schools biggest bully. Can Reed and his band solve the mystery? Or will Mrs Bunions prove to be a slippery fish?
