Denning Coyotes and Swimming With Sharks
Gene Witham
Gene Witham's career in game law enforcement spanned forty years. An engaging storyteller, he recounts episodes from the dangerous (a legendary rescue at sea) to the humorous (the man who went fishing for ducks). His career began with the Washington State Game Department, where he took part in the "Indian Wars" over fishing rights. He later worked for NOAA, where he became the officer responsible for enforcement of federal laws and treaties for virtually the entire Pacific Ocean.
