Serving as England's chief negotiator for the 1801 Act of Union puts Ralph Coxe's family in jeopardy when the Irish militant group Madra Dubh tries to kidnap his children. His sister Marion Coxe agrees to take his twin boys and flee Dublin to relative safety in London with their father, the retired general Ambrose Coxe.



Marion must repair her relationship with her father and replace a wardrobe that ended up in Dublin Bay during the difficult journey to London.
