Green Bamboo Justice
Le Tuan
A corpse of a man is found inside an abandoned temple in Binh Duong, a small town near Saigon. The identification found indicates that it belongs to Le Sau, an expatriate who lived in Portland Maine. A Vietnamese police lieutenant, a Scotland Yard-trained detective, is dispatched to investigate, but the corpse has vanished. A few months earlier Cammie Ly, a successful Vietnamese - American entrepeneur and pioneer in the Vietnamese-dominated acrylic nails industry in America, has given Sau, her husband of just under one year, 3 million dollars to bring to Vietnam for investment. She hires Beverly Hoang, a journalist in Little Saigon, California, formerly the first and only female Vietnamese-American homicide detective to go to Vietnam and track down the man and the loot. Green bamboo symbolizes a peaceful and benign Vietnam but "GREEN BAMBOO JUSTICE" is a tale of love, hate, blood money, brutal murders and deception. LE TUAN is a former film and stage actor/director and an award-winning translator. His other novels include WHITE LOTUS, WHO KILLED PINK SWALLOW?, and MOTHERLAND
