These fourteen original stories about the magic of Christmas are beautifully written. The author uses settings and experiences ranging from present-day life to the time of Jesus' birth to capture the real meaning of Christmas. In whatever period they live, the characters come alive. We empathize with them and even share the sometimes unreal, yet moving, moments they experience. Of special delight to me is the use of images that are fresh and perceptive.
