"Rachel's Gift" is just that. It was going to be a basic 31 day devotional based upon Proverbs 31:10-31 for my daughter Rachel, as a birthday and as a pre-wedding gift. In choosing to write it through Nanowrimo, the idea of making it a novel and somehow tying the devotional aspect into the plot and between the characters came to light. The story unfolded from there, across time and through multiple stories and actually turned into a DISCIPLESHIP tool, rather than a simple devotional aid. The mystery of exactly who Rachel is remains a mystery throughout the book-almost until the end. I am hoping this book is as practically inspirational to its readers as it was to me in the writing of it. It was created from the premise of"If you want learn something, teach it" which echoes the scriptural principle of Philemon 1:6, through sharing we increase in knowledge. Also, several of the testimonies are real or based on real ones in my own life and circle of experience. Enjoy and share!
