Author Julie Malcolm-Smith has become a successful caregiver and proud mother of two sons. But her story begins very differently-as a confused nine-year-old girl thrust out of a turbulent household. After she moved in with her father, her family life was healthy and boisterous for many years. Unfortunately, as old, devastating secrets slowly surfaced, this was not to last.



At nineteen, on her own once again, Julie had a near-death experience that shook her to the core. When she awoke, she knew things needed to change. But it would be thirty long years before she truly understood the purpose she was meant for.
