The American middle-class is facing a serious, devastating crisis about which, most of us are totally unaware. In 1970, the richest 10% of Americans controlled about 30% of the nation's total wealth. In 2016, the richest 10% of Americans controlled a whopping 90% of the nation's total wealth, and the transfer rate is faster than it has ever been.
