The author takes the sisters, Doris and Sarah, through treacherous waters and storms to a peaceful shore of self-realization, healing, forgiveness and reconciliation. They transform from being victims to victors. Doris and Sarah emerge as courageous survivors minus the negative psychological baggage. With courage and sheer bravery, they thrive without the shackles of shame, anger, hate, blame and complicity. The reader will be able to walk into picturesque scenes where there are examples of sheer endurance, love, humor and, of course, confusion/conflict as the characters allow the reader to witness the magic of human resiliency and courage. After reading this book, one can say that courage is the best virtue of all.
